    Default snow reports-eureka

    Has anyone heard the latest snow report near eureka? there must better accum. up that way.

    The lodge is claiming a foot and the local truckers say about 8 inches. We've had a drought on this end of the Glenn so far. Summit and Thompson are doing good.

    I heard a foot in the hills, but only 4 inches on the trails. Not enough.

    two days ago the lodge said 12" at the lodge and 24" in the hills. Anyone's guess I suppose.

    Ive learned the hard way in the past that you cant trust what the Lodge tells you about the snow. Its a long drive to find out that there is not enough snow.

    Default Last weekend

    I was there and there was about 10" at the highway and maybe 12-14" up at Balenger Pass. Trail riding only and would still hit a few dirt clods and ruts. Be carefull or you can break or bend something.
