Default Hip boots for tree trunks

Anyone know a good brand of hip boot or wader configuration that works well for large legged folks. Most of the rubber ones I have tried will not go over my thighs. What brand runs large? I am tired of running around in a full chest wader for hunting boggy areas.

    Default Hodgeman

Try the hodgeman canvas top- they tend to run large. You might also be able to find a pair of breathable or goretex hip boots to fit. Theres a little fly/tackle shop in Wasilla that might be able to help you.

I am also interested. I have not found anything that will work. I just hunt in chest waiders now. I think I tryed on every pair of hip boots available in my size in Anchorage last year.

Default Cut off your chest waders

Cut off your chest waders. Make them into hip boots.

Cabelas has neoprene hip boots that fit good. They also come in boot sizes up to 15. They're the only hip boots I've found that make they're boot sizes that big.
