    Default Honda Mechanic?

Can anyone offer recommendation of a reputable/knowledgable Honda outboard mechanic within driving distance of Valdez?

    Thanks for any input......................

What do you consider driving distance? Anything in Valdez would be walking distance. Not much out of Valdez until Glennallen and I doubt there is a Honda Mechanic there. Next stop is Delta junction or Wasilla depending on which way you go. I have heard that Tanana Adventure Sports in Delta do good work but I have only purchased a couple of Honda ATVs from them, never had any work done. I personally use The Boat Shop in Fairbanks for my outboard work.

Thanks for the reply and I have heard good things about the Boat Shop before. As far as driving distance from Valdez. If it has a road from here to there, I consider that driving distance. I used to live in Dutch, so I appreciate a road that gets you somewhere!

This is crazy... do you need a repair or a tuneup? Some stuff isn't necessary to have a dealer fiddle with it... for example need to replace a water pump impeller...? Do it yourself. No self respecting Alaskan should be on the water if they cannot perform the most elementary wrench twisting... especially true for river running. Hondas are pretty skookum... Sorry for the rant and I can't reccomend and shop since I live in SE.
