    Default Rusty Traps

I was out of state for several years. The renters set my box of traps outside the shed, in the weather. For several years they got rained and snowed on and they rusted bad. How can I clean off all this rust?

Default If you don't want to deal with acid

Soak them in a bucket with white vinegar. 24 hours for most will clean them off really really well. the nice thing about using white vinegar is the trap will lightly rust quickly so you can die them and wax.

The longest I have ever had to soak a trap was a 330 i found in the dump, yes the dump in Mekoryuk. Even with the all the saltwater out there 5 days in the vinegar, and it was like new.
