    Default Prince William Sound deer

I put my boat in at Whittier today and went for a cruise out to Pigot bay near Port Wells to check it out. I was wondering if anybody on here knows much about deer hunting in the Western part of the Sound. I have heard about the islands farther east like Montague of course, but not much about Passage Canal and the areas around Port Wells. I have also heard that the winter kill last year was pretty bad, and numbers are low. Any thoughts?

Default You might get lucky and spot one

on the mainland side. But passage canal and pigot have no deer man. Gotta hit the islands. Which were hit hard by the winter kill last year. The deer do come over the mountains but a few. I put my boat away a couple weekends ago. Just aint worth the time and money this year. I posted in some of the other threads on deer hunting. Good luck. But head further out. Watch the weather.
