    Default Foraker

If there is one thing that I have learned is that it's okay to dream... and even though Foraker is a dream for me that I will eventually turn into reality in the next few years, it's okay for me to ask and educate myself now.

    So... the questions are...

Does anyone know of anyone who has climbed it? (Successfully or Unsuccessfully)
I know that the success rate is only 20%.
Does anyone know a good book recommendation on it?
Does anyone here have it in their goal planning?
Is it more of an ice climb or a hike and climb combo?

Okay... I am also x posting this elsewhere because I'd like to see the responses.

    Thanks in advanced!

How do you define success? I know three brothers that summited Foraker in 2002. Unfortunately, they died on the decent, falling nearly 2,000 feet while roped together.

Yes. I know the trumpet player that played at their funeral. We had quite the conversation about them when I went on tour with her to Canada.
