Nice fish. Are they near your cabin?

Did you have to drill through 10.8' of ice to reach water? Great fish, I'm guessing they are in the 25" range.

I'm still hoping to meet up with you and do some fishing this winter. May that be Fire Lake, Beach Lake, or my lake outside of town.

Mike-very near my cabin.Got a tip on this lake from a friend who heard about it so we decided to go for a drive Saturday and check it out. It's loaded with grayling and it was hard to get down past them to the rainbows. The ice was only 6" thick and we were fishing in 8' of water along some lillys. The grayling would hang right under the ice and somtimes jump out of the hole as you pulled your bait out.The rainbows were hanging about a foot off the bottem and were choked full of big snails.Got a great video of pulling the larger bow out and will try to figure out how to get it on here. The bite was shrimp and fire ball and also white haired jigs. The grayling went crazy for the jigs but weren't as crazy for the bait but just the opposite for the rainbows.

WG-hows that moose tasting?Ready for some trapping lessons?Swing over Friday evening if you can.

    Steve,
I am looking at a lot VERY near your cabin. Especially if you are on the east side of your lake. It is just north of the bay that protrudes toward you.

powder monkey why do you have to automatically assume people are breaking the laws? When you post up pics of you out duck hunting I don't go off on you breaking the law by using lead shot.

There are obviously two rainbow trout over 20 inches in the pics and two people there. To me that would be one fish per person.
