Thread: fishing coincidence? I don't think so.

Default fishing coincidence? I don't think so.

One of the last times i was out with my buddy halibut fishing something interesting happened and i was wondering if anybody else has seen this or maybe has an explanation.

It was a good mix of halibut, green eyes, and arrowtooth that day...and it was constant hits for almost the entire time we were out. Here's what happened on 4 consecutive double hookups on my line. arrowtooth on the bottom hook, green eyes on the top hook. From this, I would have to say these things obviously travel close together but to have them on the same hookup high/low is that many times must be more than a coincidence. any explanation, ideas or theories?

just thought it was interesting that it was always those two types when they double was mixed fish and greeneyes was always on the top. don't recall any other mix like a rockfish and arrowtooth, for example.
