I wanted to hold a single arrow carried on my bow and my main quiver in my pack. Somewhere in the house I found a set of Selway Pigbacker arrow holders.
1. I notched the holder to fit into the square openings on the riser.
2. I punched a square hole in the holder with a mortise chisel to accept a 10/32 nut.
3. Drilled a 3/16" diameter hole in the notched end towards the nut opening.
4. Then I inserted the holder in a riser hole and insert a 10/32 stainless steel screw into a fender washer, through the riser and into the arrow holder and tighten.
Done! Holds my carbons or a 2217 aluminumwith no problem.
I know someone is going to day "What about broadheads?"
The end cover is drying. I took a dozage cup off of a medication bottle (shotglass size), placed a fender washer in the bottom and filled it with silicone. I am then going to drill a hole in the middle, insert a knoted string through the bottom and tie the string to the riser. All I need to do is pull the arrow down and the cap stays on the riser.
It really holds an arrow close to the bow and tight.
