    Default montegue strips

I was looking to go deer hunting on montegue and was wondering if anybody knows if there are any good strips up high or if people just leave their planes tied up above the tide line on the beach for days. Never been down there but am going to take a look in the next month or two. I fly a J-5. Thanks for your help.

I always land on the beach and find a high and dry spot. Watch out for half buried beach logs...

Never been to Montegou, but I go to Hitchenbrook...I used to fly my J5 there as well...68931... 100hp and alone I could land in many places up top ( 300' ) ...but never stayed the night...if the wind gets kicken out there...not sure if I would want my plane out in that wind and sea spray.

I think float pilot used to have a J5 as well???

I really enjoyed mine...just out grew it...

If your landing on the beach...use the wet sand...
