    Default paint removal - floats

    before winter sets in, i want to quicky remove the paint from my floats so i can get working on them next spring, what do you recommend on removing the paint? simple paint stripper?

    I have stripped mine a couple times and a couple other sets..

    .... WHAT A PAIN IN THE BUTT!!

    First get all the lake gunk off... I use denatured alcohol and rags. A couple gallons.. It cleans the lake residue right off.

    Then use Aircraft paint stripper. It is more expensive than the regular hardware store stuff but it works MUCH better.

    Wear thick rubber gloves and eye protection...

    Also buy LOTS of green and maroon scrubby pads.
    Maybe rent a pressure washer too...

    I killed the grass in part of my yard with all that stuff.
