Default Late Season Jet Boat ride to Clear Creek?

Anyone know if its too late in the year to make a Clear Creek run? Has the river iced up yet? Is the Talkeetna boat launch useable?

I heard yesterday(10/10) that there is slush and ice in the river....this was from someone who likes to late season fish up there. Also had to break ice off the hull at one point trying to get back to the launch.

Yetena is the same....heard 1.5 to 2 inches of snow above Yetena station a couple of days ago. Didn't hear if it stayed but the river has chunks floating down.

    Sounds like Airboat season....

The link is to the recorded snow depth for the state, updated daily. They are only showing 1 inch at Talkeetna. But earlier this week they had a little more.

We are dropping into the teens and twenties at night. There are ice flows in the river but they are small. That can change hourly this time of year though.

    Default Talkeetna

Was up there yesterday. We had to break the ice at the boat ramp it was iced up to the current edge probually 2in thick. The river was flowing ice chunks and large slabs of clear ice, 2in thick, plugs the jet unit and no directional control!!! Not good in certain areas...Fishing was GOOD..clear creek was void of fish, fished up to first set of cabins and not one fish. All fish were in the main stem.....almost all bows and no grayling...
