    No moose here...

I think F&G should make it a little harder for us to harvest a moose! Maybe make the whole state a 6 brow tine 65" or bigger no spike/fork area! Hell they should shorten the season another 10 days just to make it interesting. There will probably still be a few hunters that still harvest one
, so anyone who actually does should have to pay for a $1000 harvest tag and be required to use a Guide. That should boost moose numbers enough to support our poor dwindling bear and wolf population....

Bitter? Noooo, not me! I enjoy going to Sam's Club with my Dividend check and buying $1000 worth of beef, pork, and chicken. It's awesome!

Evidently I didn't try hard enough. The 2 weekends that I could get out it rained or snowed. The wind blew like you wouldn't believe too.... Normally thats just part of the game but when they cut 10 days off the season it makes it much harder to connect.

    Default moose

Sure there is some luck needed. Also time in the woods and a willingness to walk play a large role as well. The Booths killed 6 in 3 hunts this fall.

My son and and my brothers boy, each 12, killed fork horns near Palmer with in 8 hours of each other. Dad killed a spike in his back yard. Also near Palmer. My brother, his wife, and I each killed moose over 50 and/ or 4 browtines in unit 13 in two days. Sure lots of luck, but also we are willing to walk a long ways to get one. That is not always a good choice in hindsite while packing.

I like the regs the way they are. The only change I would make is no use of an orv and hunting the same day. Yes I have a 4 wheeler I just do not hunt off of it.

Alaskacajun it's not over yet. Depending on your location there are still some possibilities out there. Let us know where you are and maybe someone can help. Think positive! And no I didn't get a moose either. Yet.

Ha ha!!! I was thinking the same thing! I was wondering if anyone was going to 'come out of the closet' so to speak and admit to shooting a cow. If it comes to that, I'll go to the Rex just like the last two years. Go ahead, bring it on.

Got a tasty one due to MARV1, and his sons.

Thumbs up I didn't get one, but my wife did...

The 2 last days before the season closed in 14A, I saw two legal bulls. Throughout the season I saw a handful that weren't legal. Darkness and the wind made it so I couldn't close the deal on both of the legal one's. Then the season was over. The 10 days knocked off of the end of the season could have bought me some more time had those 10 days still been there to go back after those two. (Argghh)...Oh well...

But hey, ain't nothing wrong with cows one bit. My wife drew the DM408 valley cow tag for this year and she shot a BIG one. I don't care who's filling the freezer in our house. It's ALL good!
