    Default My favorite subjects...

Fall colors and of course my dogs! I just dont understand what Im doing wrong as far as "crispness" of a photo goes? Any suggestions on settings? This started out raw but I converted it to a jpg so that I could mess with it in adobe.

    Default Crisp Dog

    How does this look?

I darkened the whole image a bit and added contrast, then lightened just the face, sharpened it all with unsharp mask, and finally added a catch light to the eyes.

It's not a "purist" image anymore. It's definitely been photoshopped.

It's also sharpened a bit too much and the catch lights are too bright/large, but it's just a quick edit.

Good looking dog! The picture looks a little soft. What program are you using to convert the RAW?

Thanks Jim! I dont know about her eyes though, she looks a little evil...LOL!

I guess I just want a more crisp image, I see it all the time and wonder what settings folks use.
