Default Fishing this weekend Sept. 28th

Hi i live on fort richardson outside anchorage. I was wondering where would be a good fishing spot shore side since i dont own a boat around this area or within 2 hours of a drive. Doesnt really matter for what but i prefer to fish for keepers instead of catch and release.

Let me know hopefully ill get replies by the time i get off work.

    Thanks in advance,
    Jason

Default Possibly some silvers in Jim

Hey you might want to check out Jim creek. My dad was out there last week and said that there were some silvers moving around. Probably a good possibility.

    Default Try Seward

I had friend tell me there were still Silvers to be had off the beach at Seward last weekend. At ths point in the run, I would not bother with lures and just snag them.

    Good Luck

    Default Otter Lake on Post

Over the years we've caught some really nice rainbows on Otter Lake.

Kenai River is your best bet for silvers right now.

Today I caught 15 cohos and 4 rainbows and a 2 dollies, the trout on dries... Of course I'm in Juneau and thats a bit far...

P.S. If you like eating stocker trout (tastes worse than farmed atlantic IMO) Lake Clunie is by far my favorite on post.
I choose to fly fish, not because its easy, but because its hard.
