Hello Anchorage Ski Club Members,
**4 days to go until our Auction!**
Festivities begin at 5pm on Saturday 9/29.
What better way to spend a fall evening but up at Arctic Valley? Not
only can you enjoy the spectacular colors, but you can eat, drink,
dance and buy cool stuff - all while supporting your favorite little
ski hill. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year, and we depend
upon your support to keep our non-profit volunteer-run ski area up and

www.skialpenglow.com - it's so easy! Or call CJ at 351-6612. Some
tickets will be available at the door - first come first serve - so
purchase ahead to be sure to get a seat at a table.
**ITEMS** Curious about what items we will have? Check out the online
catalog at www.skialpenglow.com. Note that we are adding them to the
online catalog as fast as we possibly can, and some items aren't yet
listed. A sample of some of the items we have so far: Women's Tele
skis (value $425); pack raft (value $700); vintage chiarlift chiars
mounted as a bench or swing (priceless); original photography by Scott
McGee (value $495); hand-knit hats....and so much more!

Who is the band going to be? I'll try to make it...I'd love to win that packraft! (though I'm sure with that crowd it'll go for a near-retail price)

I just talked to someone who is helping to organize this event.
Dinner looks to be italian, maybe chicken parm.
The band are friends of Alpenglow and I hear it is a bluegrass band.
There is to be a final meeting thursday night, so more details on friday.
Hope to see EVERYONE there!! Alpenglow can really use the money. I am pretty sure we depend totally on public support.
Bluegrass? You've got me interested... Too bad that it won't be Well Strung, as I believe they're playing in Homer this weekend. Anyhow, I'll try to make it.
