    Default Winter trail access

I dont know how far in on Petersville and/or Oilwell roads I will be able to access by vehicle during the winter. Do these roads get plowed? How far in? I will need to access the trailhead at the end of Oilwell road and I'm curious.

I would have guessed you already knew by your online name. After it snows, Petersville road will be plowed as far as Kroto Creek where there will be a big parking lot. Beyond that, you need a snowmachine and a good back, as the first few miles will be bumpy.

emphasis on the good back. That road really is a back breaker. there are usually plenty of pull outs if the parking lot is getting full. If given the opportunity, go cross country where you can. Loads of fun.

Does anyone know how far Oilwell road gets plowed if at all. I know there are cabins out there and a trailhead at the end of the road about a mile or so after it crosses Kroto creek. I really want to access that trailhead if possible.
