    Default Barrel's making contact...

I noticed my Taurus PT92 barrel is making contact on the slide, near the muzzle, is this normal, does anyone know, or is my barrel tilted downward & should be sent in to be fixed... Thanks in advanced!

    Marv,

I think the slide just rubs on the barrel on the 92. The barrel is fixed and the slide just flops around some. Quite the opposite of most auto loader pistols with their "floating barrels" and slide locked into rails in the frame. I wouldn't worry about it just put a drop of oil at that point on the barrel.
Is there nothing so sacred on this earth that you aren't willing to kill or die for?

    Default Thanks...

Murph! I really appreciate the info, I knoticed the blueing rubbed off on that particular point in the barrel, & then put the pistol back together, & then noticed the barrel pointing downwards & even touching the slide, causing the blueing rub off, & thought, this can't be right...
