Anyone able may want to attend the next two Kenai River Special Management Area Board meetings because there will be new information about the unacceptability of Kenai River water turbidity. This problem was mentioned in the 2005 Boat Wake Study but was given short shrift by almost all report readers. There is new empirical data which shows River turbidity far exceeds allowable standards The primary cause of this measured turbidity is outboard motors, regardless of two stroke or four stroke.

The next two KRSMA Board meetings are tomorrow, September 13th, and the second Thursday in October at the Kenai River Center. Call the River Center for details.
