D.Viewed roughly 400 caribou
E. 0 trophy size bulls
F. 100% of the 8 guided hunters I had spoken to felt "ripped off" or lied too.
Nonetheless I enjoyed myself.
glad you still had an enjoyable time. thanks for posting this report. who was the outfitter for the 8 guys?
was there a transporter with a large vessel there with hunters?
Elhewman, I have a question about the "guide" you mentioned. Please check your Private Messages.
Man that's a LONG and expensive trip to only see caribou no larger than what can be hunted in several places back on the mainland at a fraction of the cost an Adak hunt entails. I hope you at least got to do some halibut and yelloweye fishing too.
I imagine all 60+ felt ripped off. How did the guides try to explain things? Claim poaching and so-called subsistence hunting by the natives had "just recently" resulted in all the trophies disappearing?

Man, that would suck. Adak is the last place that I'd hunt.
