    Default Indian River Rainbow

This is why I live in Alaska.

We were catching reds all day long while trying to hook onto the rainbows. The salmon were everywhere and some still put up a good fight. We were mostly using egg pattern flies and 1 and 2 Mepp's.

Whats it like getting up to Indian in your boat. I have an almar lite that is 17.5 ft and 140 hp jet. Any hazards to know of ?

We actually took the flag stop train from Talkentna to get there. You can get on and off the train anywhere you want between Talkenta and Hurricane Gulch. I have the same boat with a 302 inboard and hamilton jet. I love driving it unless I want to haul a big load. I does look like there are a lot of rocks that you would have to watch out for but I believe that it's possible. The silvers were just arriving at the mouth and they still looked pretty fresh.
