what do you all think the most effective way to hunt moose is on the kenai peninsula. Not having access to a hunting camp etc. my job only allows me to basically hunt on evenings after work and weekends. Is it best to find swamps or clearings and just sit until dark watching? Most of the areas available are areas that are pretty heavily hunted. IS it best to wait until the last week of the season etc. Just looking for a little advice. Im tired of being the guy who never kills his moose, but must admit I have never been able to really put in the time it probably takes. What is the best way to get started.
This time of year your best bet is to sit and watch as you described. Once the last week of the season rolls around, you may want to try calling, especially if you can work the same area two days in a row.
