Default Poll: Where do you live?

Another poll here. This might be interesting. I want to get a sense of where you folks are from; hopefully it will help all of us with how we post our info.

Good idea for a poll, Mike. When I first started visiting these forums in the fall of '04 I assumed that it was almost all residents. I love that there's a cross-section of folks here...it adds to the richness of the discussion...but it does affect perception for sure.

Mike, your poll is labeled "Where are you from" but here it says "where do you live", I already voted but what is it you are trying to find out? WHere we came from or where we are now living? Not trying to make this difficult, just looking for a little clarification. Good poll though.

Yeah, by the time I saw that it was too late to change it. This poll thing is pretty good, but I'm just getting used to it. Maybe our Webmaster can fix the title to match the poll? Hey, Webmaster! How about it?

Good catch, by the way- The poll has been there ten minutes and it's already filling up.

One more thing- you only get ten options when you set these things up, and this one needed some more. Hopefully I haven't alienated all the folks from Antarctica by excluding them!

    Default West of the rockies

WOW I am the only one in here so far that lives west of the rockies.
I live in Utah, born and raised.
If anyone is looking for some info on Utah just give me a hollar and I will do my best.
We have great elk and deer hunting down here. Not to mention our trout fishing. Jiging for 40 pound lake trout with 6 pound test line is a blast on Flaming Gorge.
Well PM me if your looking.

    Its all good
Its a common misconception that everyone in Utah is like that and thats fine with me.. It will continue to keep the population on our beautiful state down.
I can barley handle 1 wife let alone 3.. I could think of a few things to do with the other 2 though

    Default Where do you live.

Originally would have put Alaska here with the military. Born in Ohio, spent 30 years moving around the States and parts of the world in the military. Had Alaska as my last assignment and since my wife had a good job, stayed when "we" retired. The hunting and fishing is a major reason for staying among others.

I've been to Alaska a total of once. I was a week in the bush but on the way in and out I'm sure I was asked 20 times where I was from. I told them Minnesota and I ran into many Alaskans from Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan. From the cab drivers, to the waitresses to the pilots, a very large percentage were from the upper mid-west.
