    Default 14C Big Moose

Season opens tomorrow. Was just wondering if anyone has been spotting any big moose in Unit 14C? I live up there, in the valley, and have seen alot of cows, spike/forks, but not any really big bulls yet this year? Just wondering.

    Default 14C or 14A?

14C is the Municipality of Anchorage area and has really limited open hunting areas. You are probably referring to 14A which is the majority of the Valley area.

I've seen a few cows/calves, but nothing with head gear.

The porcupine is a peacful animal yet God still thought it necessary to give him quills....

Saw a bull today on a little scouting trip. He was 55" or better. If you're interested he is located in the woods near some brush and trees.

I choose to fly fish, not because its easy, but because its hard.

I spotted a fork in 14a a few weeks ago. We'll see how long he lasts.

    Default spike / fork

That's all I'm interested in shooting. I have yet to shoot a moose; I'm not interested in shootin a big one. Just a spike / fork will be fine. Any leads to one would be greatly appreciated. I've been moose hunting several times, it just hasn't happened for me. It has to be in unit 14 cause I live in the valley and work 10 hour days. So, any further than that has to be done on the weekends. I can either bow or gun hunt, doesn't matter. Thanks to all.
