I only have experience with an 82-44 on a 160hp w/ 31's. Are there better props for hauling loads out of short strips?

I thought I used to use a 41-pitch Borer on a 150 Cub. Has my memory started to go ............ ?

If you aren't turning 2700 rpm on take-off and climb you're not getting all your horsepower. Personally I have a 42 on my 160hp and I can't get 2700 except in level cruise. For my use that's acceptable considering it's what I already own.

The guys I know that really work their 0-320 equipped planes use 82/41 props.
