    Question Emergency Sat Phone Numbers

A couple of years ago someone posted a list of emergency phone numbers for hunters using sat phones while in the bush. I tried to do a search for it but came up empty. What numbers should I have along while in the bush (fly in) in northern Alaska?

    Hi Patrick:

I just talked to Search & Rescue, they told me you should call 907-352-5401 (Alaska State Trooper) as a primary # and 907-428-7230 (Search & Rescue) as a secandary #.

Be safe, get a BIG CARIBOU and have a great time.
    Tom.

Here you go. It's a sticky thread in the Survival Forum.

A gun is like a parachute. If you need one, and donít have one, youíll probably never need one again
