Default Looking for a partner for Hiking Denali or st Elias for 5-8 days on september.

    Hi
I am looking for hiking partner.
My name is Eyal, I am from Israel.
I have been in Alaska since November most of the winter I spent doing dog handling in the Brooks range.
March I did Denali NP for some weeks when it was 5 below F.
I am kayak guide for the summer and looking for a serious companion
    for a descent TREK!

I have some ideas for you, but you will have to PM me and I could give you details.
Also, it's much late in the season to be climbing Denali. Are you planning on climbing it now? Do you plan to do a fly in for it, too? If so, you might want to consider pricing before finding a partner so that it's an expectation that those costs will be divided.

For FYI, my suggestion is to wait until next year. Your best bet would be earlier in the season... like late April, start of May.

Last thing to take into consideration is that a recent survey of climbers for Denali showed that only 1/2 of the trek, guided or not guided, did not make it to the summit.

Considering the season is just about over because it's so late and the success rate was just at about 50%, I would seriously consider doing it next year.

p.s. Have you climbed high altitude before? Have you experienced altitude sickness?

I'll look forward to your PM and I have more suggestions for you on a climbing partner.
