Any good Gunsmith correspondence courses out there?
Seems like there's a bevy of GSCC out there & I would like to know which one would be the best? Anyone here with a clue as to whats a good school?
I don't think the correspondance courses are worth the time or $. You could put the $ into getting every gunsmithing book that Brownells carries, and get alot more out of the info.
If you're thinking about going into smithing as a business, realize most fail due to lack of business skills, not lack of smithing talent.
American Gunsmithing Institute. Theirs is on DVD and I have seen several of them. They are extremly good. Bob Dunlap (the instructor) is very knowledgeable and being able to see what he is talking about is a great benefit. You can buy them one at a time or get the entire course.
