Default *SIGH* Another Year to Wait...

Seems like this is the bluesy time of year... have to wait a whole 'nother 11 and some odd months for another dipnetting season. I particularly enjoyed the research this year as much as the fishing. I introduced a couple of folks that I've been friends with for years to the sport and they are, excuse the pun, hooked for life. My favorite moment was when my best friend's daughter exclaimed "I LOVE gutting fish".

It was music to all of our ears.

You are correct. Chitina dipnetting stays open until the end of September. i have been there on the last day of the season (long ago), and there were reds and silvers still moving upstream. I believe that the season still ends in September, but check at F&G first to make sure.
