    Default Sheep pic's.......

Ok its not exactly hunting sheep, but I was hunting caribou last april/may and saw some sheep north of Atigun Pass, what I did was put the white outs on laid down in the snow face first and crawled about 200 yards or so till I was maybe 15 yards from them, anyhow I have tons of pics of them, but here's a few for you lucky to hunt them.....
I actually seen sheep inalaska thats what my smile is saying...

    Got alot closer to him...

He finally did not like me any closer than 10 yards...
    more coming...

another shot before she realized holy Bleep he a human before bolting...

I tried to crawl fast enough to keep up but couldnt..here i am in the lower right corner...

Default Last of the sheep pics....

Just a zoomed in and cropped of the last of me trying to get some skylined pics....
One last look before she had enough of me,but she presented me with some wonderful pictures....

After a few dozen shots of this pose which was spectacular and I may never get the opportunity again,I stood up and left.

Folks it was down right awesome to be that close and hear them chewing there cud,let alone to spend 40 minutes or so out in the 18 below cold laying in the snow enjoying that one moment wiht them...Over all I took 222 pictures that day...Hope ya'll enjoyed them as I truly did taking them and now sharaing them.Daniel

    Default thanks

For sharing. The pictures are wonderful! Well done and Kudos. We don't always have to be hunting to enjoy animals, and you proved it.

    Thanks again guys.....

Outdrsmn...I had invited a friend to go caribou hunting up that day before he left, and he just tagged along to help us out anyway he could as it would be his last trip up north, well he brought along his Digital Camera with some big ol lens on it,He's down in Fort Sill now,and If you really want to know what the brand is I can call him and find out? If you notice in one of the pic's I was actually trying to figure it out while taking some pics. And like I said I tok 222 photos of the sheep that day.

Huntinfool...Actually it started out with a white out going over the pass and we almost turned around, even wiht the snowdrifts covering the entire road at times...As soon as we topped out it was sunny and beautiful and 21 below when I shot my caribou,by the time we headed out it was 18 below and sunny while filming the sheep,it was totally beautiful up there that morning.

    Thanks again fellas.Daniel
