Default Evinrude ETEC mechanics in Anchorage

Shop that I bought and had installed this motor from isn't working on boats for the winter and I was put on a waiting list with 40 folks on for the spring. Having no start issues and worked fine all summer till I dropped her in the water last weekensm

    Any leads?

Still trying to get out before deer season ends.

Sorry for being obvious, but did you check and make sure the tether is attached? I had a kid playing in the boat and unhooked mine and it took me a bit to figure out why neither one of my motors would start.

Check with Jeff at tracker boats bass pro. They take different motors in during slow months sometimes. Jeff is best outboard guy in town.

Do I give my friends advice? Jesus, no. They wouldn't take advice from me. Nobody should take advice from me. I haven't got a clue about anything..

I ran into the same situation with my Honda 250 a couple weeks ago. I pulled mine all the way to Homer and back. It was well worth it to get back out deer hunting.

Have you checked into Soldotna/Kenai or Homer dealers?

Burkshore in Big Lake and AK Mining and Diving in Anchorage are the only 2 I know of. That said, sounds like not an “etec specific” problem and any good mechanic could dope it out.

    Good luck.

Bit of a drive, but the Boat Shop in Fairbanks is the best in the state!

Thanks Everyone. All ask the other shops mentioned. Yes, tether was attached. Been there done that a time or two. Heading out Thanksgiving weekend with my boat I hope.
