    Default Lose Your Bull?

This little spike was hit during the bow season on the Mental Health Land behind Treasure Chest and Waller. He had a nub on one side and an 1 1/2" spike on the other. Was hit in the back. Not much penetration. Long shot maybe, or a puny setup. My bow is cranked to 85# and would have broke the spine if I made that hit. It may have been hit in the ribs also.DSCN9109.jpgDSCN9110.jpg

That's pretty good penetration considering what it hit. The broadhead nearly got through 2" of solid bone, plus hide and meat on the way there.

I'm not impressed. I have taken 19 moose with a bow. Most of my shots are pass through. That hit with my bow and arrows would have dropped that little guy in his tracks with a busted spine.

That looks like a wide broadhead but it could be the angle of the pic is distorting things

Was this moose found dead or did someone else get him?

Found dead north of Kenai. Lost to the elements, birds, and critters.
