Trolled the bay Saturday starting at the falls and working toward Lowell Point. Jellyfish were terrible. Couldn't set a line before it was fouled. Friends reported cleaner water at Derby Cove. No idea why, but there were far fewer jellyfish in the cove. We were able to catch 8 Silvers in 7 hours of fishing. Not great, but not bad.

Beach just south of Millers has lots fish, all the way out to Tonsina.
Ill be out trolling that area tomrrow morning. The waters looking decent in the bay for the next day or two. We killed it 2 weeks ago out at the head of the bay.

all morning boats coming in reported catching nothing. commercial fleet is mopping up bay here tomorrow, don’t know why there is nothing out there. all fish were caught out at jack and galena bay amongst the seiners.
Fished Res Bay this weekend and it was silly to think your down rigger would be clean for more than a minute.

Agreed. The jellies are out in full force. All i picked up were small pinks, no silvers. Flat water and the morning sun made made up for the terrible fishing. I guess thats a wrap for seward.
