    Default 20 hp ob

So what would YOU hang off the back of an HB?
    Suzuki DF20 or Honda BF20?
Im pretty torn between the two.
Theres the others of course, but these two seem to be the most popular.

The lighter of the 2 and best dealer to service it in your area. And would go with Electric Fuel Injection over carbs!

I have the Honda 20HP on my 21 ft Hudson Bay. It weights about 110 lbs with electric start. I have a preference for Honda's as I have seen great longevity with minimal maintenance required (reliable).

I had the Honda on my first HB and sold it with the boat. I outfitted the new HB with the Suzie. Both worked well but I do like the EFI on the Suzie.

I've had a lot of Honda's (5, 9.9 and 90 hp) over the years and they are a great product but a little heavier and expensive. Put me down for the Suzuki. Battery-less EFI is sweet. 97# (short shaft, manual start). My 2017 was $2,600 shipped to my door (lower 48). Are you going with electric start? Short shaft?

I had a 20HP Honda on mine and loved it.. but sold it in the end for a surface drive. I have 2.5 and 6HP Suzuki's for my smaller freighters. They are very nice motors as well. I'd go with the Suzuki because they are a bit lighter.

Is power tilt worthwhile? Iíd rather not have a battery if I didnít need to.

I have power trim/tilt on my Suzie because I have another use for the motor and I got a buy on it.
If buying for the HB only, I wouldn't have bothered.
