    You've probably mentioned it before, if so I'm sorry, but do you always take some kind of firearm with you....ie, a 22/410 or some such so you could at least kill a squirrel or grouse in case the chili-mac does run out? My stepfather was a pilot and he always had a survival 22 with him, you know, the kind where the barrel unscrews and fits inside the butt stock. I imagine you do?

    Has the weather let up out that way?

    Maybe delete the scope and add a few more survival gear items in there that are cushy and travel well and you have a nice partial survival kit.
    I like the idea that it floats.
    Back to the search--- best weather we have had up around Rainy Pass for a while yesterday and hopefully in the days to come.
    Keep your eyes peeled if your anywhere near this route

    I have a chiappa .22/.410 O/U that folds in half, as it's break action for the same purpose. Figure the .410 gives me a real chance at hitting something.
