Thread: Kenai/Russian River Sockeye Statistics

    Question Kenai/Russian River Sockeye Statistics

From the data I can find on-line, the Sockey sonar counts from the Kenai (RM19) and the counts on the Russian (Weir at Lower Russian Lake RM 79 Kenai +6 RM Russian) are somewhat consistant in sonar numbers 7 days apart. Has anyone else looked into this? Any advice is welcomed. I've reserved a site at the campground this weekend, and I'm hoping I'm not too early.

This weekend should be good in the upper river. The sockeye usually take 7-10 days to get from the lower Kenai to the Russian and the first pulse came through on the afternoon of the 18th.
