    Default frame tubing

I need two 18" lengths of cataraft frame tube. Way back in the day AK raft and kayak threw out scraps like that, but no longer. Does anyone know a local source?

Alaska Steel carries this pipe in 20' sticks, and they might have some scrap.

    Best regards,

yep, alaska steel. 1/8" i think is what we used, sch 40. But NRS fictures dont work well with them if insert fixtures are desired (nice on frames IMO). Alternative ain't perfect but basic frames without complicated bends and insert fixtures which are nice on some frames. Gotta kind of stick to basic designs.

I have a section that is about 58" long just sitting in the snow. It has a slight bend at 48" but you would be able to get two 18" pieces that are strait. You can have it if you want to pick it up in South Anchorage
