    Default Heater propane

How do u guys/gals keep the small Coleman propane's from freezing up on your heater when out? Mine always freezes up and then stops working half way through the bottle.

It helps to get the heater off the ice. I put my buddy heater on an upside down 5 gallon bucket.

Dunk the bottle in the hole...the water will change the interior temp of the LP almost immediately.

Does a 10-20lb bottle have the same issue ? I’m planning to upgrade the tank size this winter for my buddy heater. Also do you need to keep the 20lb tank outside the tent?

I use an 11 lb bottle and don't have any issues.
I keep the tank outside my portable leaving more room inside.
This year I'm going to try and use my flame King refillable bottles a few times.
This is the kit that flame King makes that allows you to fill 1lb bottles legally and has a venting port to make sure they're completely filled.
