    Default Grandsons first wolverine

I have a spot I have set almost every year for the last 21 or 22 yrs it is a bait pile for fox and an occasional coyote. I have never in that time seen a wolverine track within 5 miles probably more of this location. This year I decided the set would become my 8 yr old grandsons set to get him interested and it is pretty much a guarantee as I usually catch 5-10 critters a year off of it. I figured it would really get him fully involved and it has . Well Saturday we pulled up to the bait he leading the way on his little 340 and I saw a fox in a snare and two other snares looking like something was in them we walked over to the first one and found him laying under the snow DOA in a fox snare it absolutely surprised me that it held in the snare the wolverine had eaten his other fox but he really was to excited to care Click image for larger version.
