    Default Brown bear in August

I have a friend who wants to do a brown bear hunt in the middle of August?? Any advice on how the hides may look during this time?

First consideration is obvious. Make sure you're in an area with an open season.

After that, pick your location carefully. Visibility is greatly reduced by brush in August, not only for seeing the bear in the first place but especially for followups. I've walked right by them in August, passing within 20 feet without seeing them. That's usually okay if they're sleeping off a belly full of fish, but not if they're waiting to avenge a bad shot.
