    I hear the new ones are pretty good but used ones going back 15+ years can be hit and miss

    I have one that i have no idea how old it is, but it’s a fun tack driver that’s dropped a lot of grouse.

    Yes, the new Henry’s are cool little packages. I have even fitted mine with a small scope in QD rings and the whole package fits in a very small pack.

    If the new ones are like the old ones, you will need to replace the plastic recoil springs guide. I made one out of steel. If you use it much, it will break. Not good for a so called “survival gun”.

    I saw a Savage 42 recently, .22 over .410 shotgun. Looked like a slick concept but sorta junky too.

    24 is the old one. They sold for like $15 new and now they’re like $700 for one. There were several different cartridge combinations. The new one is the 42. Black, plastic, and ugly.
