Thread: Lure recommendations?

    Default Lure recommendations?

Anybody have any recommendations for lures for lynx, marten, fox and wolf? Primarily lynx and marten. I mostly set blind sets for canines. I'm looking into trying some new things this year. Just looking for some new ideas. Thanks.

Really? I knew they specialized in bear bait supplies. I wasn't aware they were making trapping lures.

Thanks otterman. I actually have tried the skunky backbreaker before and I like it. I thought about the Gusto but never tried it. Maybe I'll pick some up. And I've never hear of the spicey purfect. I'll keep my eyes open for it. Thanks for the suggestions.

I met Jess recently and I believe she is getting into the trapping scents and lures as well, but not sure if she will have anything for this season.

Pretty sure she has been doing the scents for at least a year now. Regardless, her stuff flat works.

Not sure if you can get the spicey purfect anywhere but on Dobbins web site or his forum Trapperman.com

    Hey Guys
Jess from Bait Em 907 here. Yes, I am now offering trapping lures. After 2 years of field testing, they've been approved by Veteran Trappers running long lines and short lines, here in Alaska, as well as in the lower 48's. I have been approached many times by baiters that trap - "Your blueberry is killer, have you considered making marten lures". "That Nasty Boar Line is absolutely disgusting, reminds me of Gusto". Lures have been formulated not only by myself, but with trappers with 40+ years experience.
    Good luck on the lines.

Well, just a quick report from the end of the season. I tried out the baitem907 products and they worked well for lynx. Didn't do very good for marten, but I'm not in a really great marten area. So just wanted to shout out and say thanks to baitem907 for sending some free samples.
