    Default Re-chamber/bore Model 70 30.06 to .35 Whelen

Any outfits in Anchorage do this? Reasonably?
I know about the outfit in Oregon and have used them, but thinking more local.
    Thanks

To the best of my knowledge, no one in Alaska is equipped to rebore or rifle a barrel. That is pretty specialized equipment, and takes a lot of space and skill to operate well. You would have to have very deep pockets to buy the tools and tooling.

Jes in Oregon turned my old Springfield into a 338-06, I would use him again.

I had Stan Jackson in Anchorage do this for me many years ago. He did a great job. Not sure if he is still working anymore. He would be quite old but one of his grandsons trained under him.
