    Default Talkeetns boat launch

Any updates on launch conditions in talkeetna? I know water has been high but last time I launched there I seem to remember it being a little weird with a sand bar behind it?

It's still there, just hug the to the side that Phantom and Mahays park at until you get below the bridge.

What ended up being wrong with your lift?

Loose fitting water got in cooked the motor. They sent a new one and it's working great now.

Not sure what direction you are headed but towards the Yetna and beyond as of thurs there were a lot of logs/trees/sticks to dodge. Water was very high. Be safe keep an eye out for all the debris and have fun!

Launch was fine today. Ran up to Indian river. Awesome day on the water. Caught some silvers, burned some fuel and didn’t break anything!

Didn’t see any ‘bows. The water was high and it looked like it had been about four feet higher not to long ago. It was running clear though.

I was told it had been blown out up there... did you happen to run up to Portage creek since you were already that far up the river?
