    Default Quartz Cr Reds

Hi guys, got some friends coming up from the lower 48. So wondering if the Reds are starting to show up in Quartz Cr, or are they running late?
    Thanks

The Quartz Creek that feeds into Kenai Lake is not open to salmon fishing, including catch-and-release. If you are referring to this creek, then the only thing I can do is suggest that you bring trout gear, though the fishing was slow when I stopped by on Thursday. Maybe there's another "Quartz Creek" that I'm not aware of.

Ah, well it was dead quiet last Thursday for trout with a few red sockeye in the deep holes or on their spawning beds. Not much action by any means. Perhaps this rain will help bring in some more sockeye and the dollies that follow them.
