    Default Silver Salmon Creek

Anybody know if you can get a floatplane in and out of the slew at Silver Salmon Creek safely. My boys are up next week and would like to get them out for some hot fishing. Iím open to suggestions

Probably not the best thing to try. The creek flows pretty good even at high tide. The mouth is shallow and there are often breakers. Iíve only seen and heard of wheeled planes landing there. Find a lake with fish pooling at the mouth of a clear creek. Should be plenty to choose from on the other side of the mountains.

It seemed pretty skinny for that purpose the couple times I have been there. Might check with the bear tour operators that use floats, they will likely have a more specific assessment of it.
