    Default Fly Fishing, where ????

New to Alaska, and I live in the interior. Is there anywhere in Alaska were I can fly fish for Rainbow, Char, etc... in a river enviroment? I'm not looking for fly fishing in the lakes and ponds here in the interior. Is there any place in the Anchorage, Valdez, area that I can drive to from where I live thats along a river that I can camp and fish and just have a great time. thanks...

Delta clear water has some of the largest greyling I have ever seen. I think the silvers come in there in october. Chatinika has greyling and white fish. I never found any good trout fishing in valdez but there may be some. There are good trout in most of the parks highway streams.

Drive south and hit Willow creek it is one of my personal favorites for trout. Use flesh flies and egg patterns.

Anywhere there is flowing water there is probably some grayling around. Bows are south of the Alaska range (except bristol bay) Dollies can be found throughout the state. And don't overlook lakes, lakes are fun.
I choose to fly fish, not because its easy, but because its hard.

If you live around Fairbanks, the upper Chena is world-class for Grayling. Anywhere along it is good, but upper is best.
Now just why in the hell do I have to press "1" for English???
