Default Anyone Running Up Knik Sunday 6/24?

I'm new to jet boating and plan on hitting the Knik this weekend. Just wondering if anyone has plans to be on the river this Sunday (June 24). If so I'm looking for someone that wouldn't mind me tagging along to learn the channels a bit.

    Thanks,
    Mack

Nobody? Does anyone at least have any helpful tips for someone that hasn't ran the river before? I have an 18 foot flat bottom with a 85 hp jet.

Stay to the west side generally, main part of the river. There is a "rock garden" just prior to the lake/glacier, be on your toes the last mile or so.
Otherwise, its just a braided river like all the others.
Have fun, it can get windy, bring appropriate gear to remove yourself from a sand bar if needed.

Made it a little over 17 miles up from reflections and only got stuck once sticking a little too far west. Glad I had an extra set of hands with me to get flowing again. I'll try to make it to the glacier next time I think.
