Default Bank fishing for trout around Fairbanks?

I never fish for trout, but we have some kids visiting. Is there any bank fishing for trout around Fairbanks within about 2 hours? They're probably too young to try fly fishing for grayling if I need to, I'll hook'm up and let them fight'm.

    Thanks,
    Brian

Have you thought about using a fly and a bubble/float combination on a spinning rod for the grayling? Worked great when I was a kid.
Spending my kids' inheritance with them, one adventure at a time.

By bank fishing I assume you mean from the shore so no one has to wade into the water.

Trout waters I've fished in the FBKS area are Chena Lakes Rec area, Piledriver Slough, Quartz Lake and Birch Lake. Bathing Beauty Pond near Piledriver is stocked with dollies.

To get better trout or trout water you have to travel south of the Range.
    Now what ?

I do have a selection of flies for grayling ... might try that with the kids (water bubble float thing, flies on leader), maybe up on the Chatanika. Or maybe I'll do the casting and they do the catching. I'll look in to the other locations too, and we'll just go have fun . Thanks for the suggestions!
