Default Wife said I could buy Aerocets. So of course I can't find any.

I called up Aerocet and they are months behind on orders. And the price has gone up.... A lot....

Thats generally the way most things work out..when you get the "okay", there's nothing to be found..and by the time you find said item, something comes up and eats the money you had for it...

Yeap, I am very worried about the cash going off to other projects if I cannot find a set.

I know two guys who have bought planes with Aerocets just to get the floats off them for their other planes because they could not get their hands on Aerocets. Tough way to shop..

Might be a good excuse to have 2 planes though!! "Sorry Babe, I HAD TO buy the second plane to get the floats...I will sell it just as soon as I can (wink wink)". Lol.

I will sell the floats after I win them tomorrow. That might be the way to go, get ahold of the winner ASAP.

Everybody knows that I will be winning the Aerocets from the raffle.

Redmammoth: Those Aerocets are model 2200s for a Super Cub. ( around 2200 pounds displacement per float. )

I need 3500Ls or 3400 Amphibs for my souped up C-180J.

There is a set of Wiparie 3000 Amphibs in Minnesota, But I am not having much luck in finding a way to ship them.

Thatíll be a really nice consolation prize for you. Iíd love to win those floats, but it turns out that my ticket is being pulled for the Cub, so Iíll have to wait another year to win floats for it.

Well, somebody actually did win those Aerocet 3500's at the GAAG raffle today, but, it wasn't me. If it wasn't you either, then you should contact the AK Airman's Assn and find out who was the winner. Maybe he doesn't need 'em and want's to turn 'em over for some quick cash?

Although the announcer at the raffle made a point of saying that they are the only available pair in AK for a long time . . . . . which probably won't help with bargaining for a low price. Good Luck!

I am not sure they actually exist. Maybe it is just a voucher for a set when they are finally made.

Yeah that is pretty much the new price. For some reason I cannot get the phone number to show. I hate even looking at craigs list, it seems cheesy. I like Alaskas List.

Works on my hand held, but not on my desk / office computer. It just says there is a problem and makes the little dizzy sign. Not an issue since I know the contact person.
